Is there a relation to colon polyps and prostate cancer

Is there a relation to colon polyps and prostate cancer?
My husband had colon polyps 15 years ago and is now diagnosed with prostate cancer. Could there be a relationship to that?

The only relationship is that your husband has cancer and will require lots of check ups. Both of these are curable and you all are lucky....

That is a good question because my grandfather-in-law had prostate cancer 13 years ago and has an appointment to see if he has polyps.. Never thought of that maybe it is.. I am going to ask that question tomorrow, that's when his appointment is.

Short answer no! Not in any statistical sense but older men are susceptible to both colon cancer and prostate cancer as a group so exam becomes necessary for both
