I'd have to see the echocardiogram and the cardiologist's consultation report before making that determination. You don't say which valve, the degree of insufficiency, or make mention of the patient's functional status :) That patient is at some increased risk. However, the cancer needs to come out, so after cardiac optimization, the surgery will be done.
