Help....colon cancer or not

Help....colon cancer or not?
recently I've been bleeding after I poop and people said that it might be colon cancer. But after I poop my butt get sore so I'm thinking its that a broke a few vessels or something...which explain the blood, should i still be worried about the colon cancer? or can i still think that since i'm sore afterwards it could be something else...i'm still pretty young

it could be a ruptured ulcer, what it ever it is you better get checked by a doc cause the blood loss can cause anemia

I've heard the same. This has happened to me before.. quit often at times.. but I am just way to scared to ask the doctor to check. Ive gone to the OBGYN and just not asked to get that end checked out. Im horrified. I just assume that its not cancer..because im 23 and my butt gets sore too.. I just assume its hemorrhoids. Good luck... let us know if you go to the doc and tell us what he says.. im curious..

You may have a fissure - a tear in the anal canal or hemmoroids. In any event, you will have to go to a doctor who after examination will probably prescribe Anusol suppositories - available only from the doctor or by prescription. Also begin stool softeners, now and eat plenty of fiber. Maybe he has some free meds...If you let it go, it could worsen and require surgery.

You are never too young for colon cancer, so best preventative is to see your doctor, and he may recommend a colonoscopy. It doesn't take long and will put your mind at ease. If they do find something, it will probably be in time to prevent full blown cancer. .

Honey, you probably have hemorrhoids. Is the blood bright red when you wipe? Colon cancer usually causes a type of bleeding that makes the bowel movement very black and tarry or it will look like coffee grounds. The only definitive way to tell if you have colon cancer is to have a colonoscopy. This is an outpatient procedure done by a gastroenterologist. They put you to sleep and look up your rectum with a camera and they can take a biopsy. I would not immediately jump straight to colon cancer as my first thought. go to your family doc and tell him/her whats going on.

Is the blood in the stool, or just when you wipe? Is it bright blood or dark old blood? You need to go see a doctor. How regularly are you bleeding? I am a nurse at a hospital and see colon cancer at all different ages so do not just assume because you are young you are immune to getting cancer. Please, go get your self checked out. It may be as simple as hemorrhoids but if it is worth asking and talking about you need to be seen by a MD! Good Luck

It's probably hemorrhoids, but you should get it checked out. Even a doctor couldnt answer this question on line without seeing you. And you would be foolish to rely on any of our answers.
