Question about Colon Cancer?

colon cancer can start any where in the large intestine but if not found early can then spread and go to the liver and other parts of the body.anyone with a family history i suggest getting check's at age 35 all others 45.

Colon cancer is obviously found in the colon, which is the large intestine. It can be found anywhere along the colon but its most commonly found in the lower half, the sigmoid colon. Although its most commonly referred to as colorectal or bowel cancer. There are many causes: - Polyps - non-cancerous tumours that can lead to cancer - It is age related, developing it increases after the age of 50. 90% of cases are above 50. - Family history of it, a genetic issue - Your diet - a diet rich in red and processed meats and low in fruits and vegetables can cause it. - Obesity - Heavy drinking - leads to low levels of folic acid in body - Smoking - smokers also swallow the agents in cigarette
