Is cancer of the bowels also considered colon cancer?

Yes. To be more explicit, the oncologist may tell you if it is in the small intestine, or the large intestine.

no there are small intestine & large bowel (colon, seqmoid and rectum) if its in small and localized and there are no metastasis thats good and not involved the large bowel and if in large bowel and not involved in small so its depend on the sings and symptoms of the case . dont forget no diagnosis without investigation(ct scan) (x-ray) (barium)etc.

no your bowels and colon are 2 different things unless it has spread to both of them
