Recently when i have been going number 2 Ive been bleeding out of my butt, sometimes my lower stomach hurts too I read that colon cancer is most common in 30 - 50 year olds but I'm only 17 could i have colon cancer?

Go to your doctor! This is not something that can be solved with an online question. Rectal bleeding CAN be very serious and in some cases can lead to death. It could be caused by a number of things. This is not something that can be diagnosed over the internet. Sorry. Regardless of what it is, early intervention is always better that waiting to see what happens. I suggest you tell a parent and go to your doctor to get checked out as soon as possible.

Given your age.....the rectal bleeding could either be from a hemorrhoid (internal or external) or a stomach ulcer. If it's bright red it's probably a hemorrhoid or a polyp in the large intestine or colon and if it's a darker red the bleeding is coming from higher up like the stomach or small intestine. To be on the safe side.....check it out with a doctor.
