Studies have concluded that drinking alcohol can increase the risk colon cancer. In particular, drinking beer can increase the risk of developing cancer. This is believed to be caused by the cancer causing nitrosamines which are present in beer. but it was found that drinking a glass of wine a week can help or protect agains the disease. I work at a clinic and one of our clients had a punctured colon and the doc told her to drink wine. good luck

well i am not sure about colon cancer but it can definitely cause liver and lung cancer if you have any suspicion i would definitely stop!!
