I am pretty sure I have Iron deficiency anemia (a sympton of having colon cancer) then I get tired a lot. That is what iron deficiency does to you. Then sometimes there is blood in my stools. Could I really have colon cancer?

possible, however being that you must have seen a Dr to be diagnosed with anemia, seems if there was evidence or concern about colon cancer you would have had a colonoscopy
2 :
not necessarily but you would need a colonoscopy to be sure, that is when they put you to sleep and put a camera in you rectum to check for polyps and look at the tissue.

Blood in your stools can be caused by many other reasons besides colon cancer. Usually colon cancer will have other symptoms, such as change in bowel habits, weight loss, funny odor, and feeling your aren't empty after having a bowel movement. Blood in your stools can also be caused by hemorrhoids, diverticulitis, ulcers and anal fissures. All of those need a definitive diagnosis by a qualified physician. Having blood in your stools is nothing to brush off. Go get checked out, so you can stop worrying. GI procedures sound much worse than they really are.

If u were properly diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia ( among other things ur ferritin being low) and assuming u're a male, u need to be worked up for this GI bleed regardless of ur age. Many assumptions r made in this answer ( u having a regular diet, not having a heavy family history of colon ca, etc....)

You should get everything checked out with your doctor. If the symptoms really get serious or worst then i suggest that instead. I did some research on the symptoms and this is what i found. Here is the link my friend. http://coloncancer.about.com/od/cancerprevention/a/Cancer_Symptoms.htm
